We have been performing exterior renovations on a house in the city, circa 1912, including column repairs. One of the columns had been home to a honeybee hive for many years, and had deteriorated to the point that its weight bearing capacity was in question. The homeowner arranged for a beekeeper to extract the bees and move them to another location.
