Basement Finishing

Several months ago we installed an interior perimeter drain as part of the solution for a damp basement.  After cutting and removing the edges of the concrete slab, we installed french drains that were gravity drained to the exterior. Then we mixed concrete and covered the drains in preparation for finishing the basement.

Next we installed a product called InSoFast, which is an innovative solution for framing and insulating basement walls.  The result was an affordable, durable, energy-efficient, and damp-proof substrate on which to install the wallboard.
